2 Deans Named at °µÍø³Ô¹Ï Technical College

°µÍø³Ô¹Ï Technical College has named two new deans. Rachel Kroeplien is dean of applied technology and economic development. Chris Schatz is dean of health and human services, a role he previously held from 2017 to 2021.
Kroeplien joined °µÍø³Ô¹Ï in 2015 as an agriculture instructor. In 2020 she moved into the role of senior flexible instructional design coordinator. Her achievements include creating the first online agriculture-focused associate degree in the Wisconsin Technical College System, earning the Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators Outstanding Post-Secondary Agricultural Program nomination in 2018, and leading °µÍø³Ô¹Ï’s competency-based education initiative. Kroeplien is pursuing her doctorate in educational leadership.
Schatz’s accomplishments at °µÍø³Ô¹Ï include leading efforts with area high schools and healthcare facilities to provide opportunities for students to take college-level healthcare courses. He also led °µÍø³Ô¹Ï’s initiative with the University of Wisconsin Green Bay to offer a 2-2-1 nursing pathway, which allows students to complete three academic degrees while learning locally and saving on tuition and expenses. Schatz holds a doctorate in higher education leadership.
